Client Overview
Yaskawa is the largest robotics company in the world, known for its high-quality industrial robots and automation solutions.
The company sought to enhance the user experience of their collaborative robots, specifically focusing on the robotic controller interface to meet the evolving needs of both experienced operators and newcomers in the robotics field.
The Challenge
Yaskawa initially hired another agency to redesign the interface for their robotic controller but found the results lacking.
They needed an intuitive, modern solution that could transform the way users interacted with their robot teach pendant controllers.
The challenge was to create a user-friendly, efficient interface within a tight six-month timeframe, all while ensuring it was robust enough to handle complex robotic operations.
Our Approach
- Complete Redesign of their Teach Pendant Interface
IIIMPACT stepped in to redesign the robotic controller from the ground up and tested this on their latest collaborative robot line. We focused on creating an interface that could simplify complex robotic tasks, making it easier for users to control and program the robots without sacrificing any of the advanced capabilities Yaskawa's systems offered. - Redesigned Over 100 Screens
We completely redesigned over 100 screens, ensuring a cohesive and modern user experience throughout the application. - Modern Visual Language and Style
We created a modern visual language and style for the robotic controller, aligning with Yaskawa's brand and setting a new standard for their user interfaces. - User-Centered Design
