Overview

Automatize Logistics is a cloud-based solution that manages all aspects of logistics-related planning and operational management via an on-demand delivery platform.

The platform simultaneously optimizes supply chain management and boosts carrier efficiencies via online automation and digital applications.

Automatize assists clients with demand forecasting, procurement, project management, and other crucial logistical aspects related to managing complex supply chains.

IIIMPACT initially partnered with Automatize to redesign their entire application and fix various divergent glitches in the UX that users reported they were experiencing.

The goal of our partnership was for us to streamline and improve user flow on all web and mobile formats.

As explained below, the project grew into a more comprehensive re-do of internal digital production processes and coding deliverables based on what our team discovered during Phase One.

Challenge

Phase One: UX audit/redesign

Based on customer feedback it had received, Automize required the expertise of a dedicated and experienced technology consultancy to improve its platform’s user experience and to iron out glitches within the user journey. IIIMPACT was tasked with this project.


Phase Two: Full-scale tech audit/upgrades

After working with the client and successfully designing the new/upgraded dashboard and application, the Automize product team reported that their current offshore team did not have the capabilities and coding experience to roll out IIIMPACT’s full-scale recommended changes.


The offshore team was experiencing a high frequency of bugs, month-long lead times, difficulty scaling to even a few 100 users, and releasing frequently without issue. Automize’s top management tasked IIIMPACT’s dev team with performing a full-scale tech audit. Our role was to help pinpoint the root causes of these recurring tech issues and to make the necessary adjustments and improvements to resolve them.

User interviews

User interviews were conducted to understand current pain points within the user journey. The IIIMPACT team spent hours working with users to successfully identify technical and user experience-related issues throughout the customer journey. We also held numerous internal workshops to identify personas and customer journeys to ensure that the improved design would meet the required targets.

Component library

Component library

We designed a customized UI component library on behalf of the client. This provided Automatize with predefined and prebuilt sets of functions (components) that can be added to, and modified in, mobile and web applications.

Full UX redesign

Full UX redesign

IIIMPACT managed a full rework/redesign of the current application with new and improved UX and Visual UI design including that of the mobile application.

With the support of a highly-focused and adaptable team of 3 senior engineers, and a technical lead overseeing the project, we were able to move the team forward toward multiple successful releases aligned with the company’s expanding enterprise customer base.
